Annual Giving
As a public institution, MCCC no longer can rely primarily on funding from the state and county, along with the modest tuition and fees of this community college. In order to keep pace with the ever-increasing costs of maintaining the excellence that has characterized the MCCC educational experience, the college relies on the generosity of donors to close the gap.
Giving to the Mercer County Community College Annual Giving Campaign is a powerful way for alumni and friends of the college, parents, students, businesses, foundations, and corporations -- along with faculty, staff, and trustees -- to directly support academic and student success.
Funds raised through the Annual Giving Campaign provide invaluable unrestricted operating support for Mercer, allowing the college to address current needs for academic excellence and student success. Your invested funds work hard to support student scholarships, enhance instruction, provide state-of-the-art equipment, and contribute student aid -- investments that pay great dividends for Mercer County and beyond.
Annual Giving Campaign Mini-Grants
MCCC has created a unique and exciting Mini-Grant program, funded entirely by the Annual Giving Campaign, which allows Mercer faculty and staff to develop significantly innovative projects whose common goal is to aid student learning. Twenty-nine members of our faculty and staff have received Mini-Grant funding since the program's start in 2009. Here is a small sampling of what Annual Giving Campaign Mini-Grants have allowed our faculty and staff to accomplish:
- Develop a peer tutoring program
- Create a World Language classroom configured with wi-fi and a custom-designed high-tech podium
- Outfit dedicated "smart seminar rooms" for the Mercer Honors Program
- Establish a reading and writing hybrid class for developmental students
