Mercer has a cosmopolitan full-time and part-time faculty with advanced degrees from many universities throughout the United States and foreign countries. Faculty members dedicate most of their time to teaching, academic advising, and various college services and community activities. Each faculty member keeps office hours. Advisory Commissions

MCCC Many of Mercer's academic programs benefit from advisory commissions that embody appropriate professional backgrounds and expertise. Members provide guidance and serve as a communication link between the college and the community, and between the college and professional, occupational, or special service groups. They acquaint the community with available college resources and the college with community needs.

In addition to providing advice, commission members identify technical information, equipment, and facilities necessary to establish programs and resources or to modify existing ones so they will remain up-to-date.
