In-Person Commencement and Honors Ceremonies Cancelled Due to Revised CDC Guidance

Friday, July 30, 2021

With deep regret, Mercer County Community College (MCCC) announces that all in-person commencement and honors ceremony celebrations scheduled to take place August 6, 2021 are officially cancelled due to the latest guidance released from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding the coronavirus pandemic. The health and safety of MCCC's students, faculty and staff is a top priority.

News reports indicate that according to a document prepared by the CDC, the Delta variant is much more contagious than other known versions of the virus, and evidence shows that vaccinated persons in high transmission areas may continue to transmit the virus.

All of us at MCCC would like to take this time to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of our graduating classes and we wish each and every student success during the years ahead. Congratulations on your achievements and for your perseverance and resilience during these unprecedented times.

The college is planning other ways to celebrate and honor your successes. In the coming days, we will send you specifics.
