INTRODUCTION TO WELDING: MIG, TIG, & Stick Welding Techniques

This 12-week, hands-on course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of welding. Students will gain practical experience with a variety of welding methods and materials, making it ideal for beginners or those looking to build a strong foundation for further training or career advancement in the trades.  Receive credit for MET 232 (3 credits) based upon assessments. MET 232 is part of MCCC's Manufacturing Engineering Technology program!

What You’ll Learn:

• MIG (GMAW) Welding
• TIG (GTAW) Welding – including AC TIG for aluminum and DC TIG for steel and stainless steel
• Stick (SMAW) Welding
• Welding on plate and pipe
• Working with various metals and alloys

3D cad Solid Modeling: Autodesk Certified Associate

for Mechanical Product Design/Manufacture

This hands-on, project-based course trains students in Fusion 360 solid modeling  for real-world mechanical product design and manufacturing applications. Whether you're pursuing a new career path or looking to enhance your current skills, this course prepares you to become Autodesk Certified  and job-ready in just 12 weeks.  No prior drafting or design experience is required. Potentially earn up to two (2) Mercer County Community College credits.

What You’ll Learn:

• Parametric solid modeling using Autodesk Fusion 360

This 12-week course provides a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to CNC machining, preparing students for entry-level careers as CNC machine operators, with a strong foundation for future advancement into programming and setup roles.

Through real-world projects, students will gain practical skills in G & M code programming, CNC mill and lathe operation, and CAD/CAM processes using Fusion 360. No prior experience required! Potentially earn upto two (2) Mercer college credits while learning all you need to be qualified to begin your CNC Machining career as a CNC Machine Operator with a head start to Programmer/Setup Person!

What You’ll Learn:

• Fundamentals of G & M code programming
• Basics of 3D CAD/CAM and post-processing
• Operation of CNC mills (HAAS TM1P) and CNC lathes (HAAS ST10)
• Workholding, setup procedures, and tooling
