This foundational course prepares you to take the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) exam and provides a strong platform for advancing to the Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) credential. Designed for individuals pursuing entry-level careers in the logistics sector, the course introduces essential concepts in warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and the global supply chain.
Through hands-on learning and practical application, students gain a solid understanding of logistics operations, workplace safety, quality practices, and the technologies shaping today’s logistics systems. The course also emphasizes communication, problem-solving, and teamwork – vital skills for fast-paced logistics environments.
Upon successful completion, participants will be prepared to sit for the CLA certification exam and continue on to the CLT certification prep. course.

This course builds on the foundational CLA program with in-depth training in core warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping. Participants will expand their knowledge of inventory management principles, transportation modes, and cost considerations such as tariffs and duties. Instruction also covers essential documentation for domestic and international shipments, along with measurement systems and conversions between the Metric and U.S. Customary systems.
