Ezra Fried received his Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Philosophy from CUNY Graduate Center, an M.A. in Studio Art from SUNY Albany, studied in the Ph.D. program in English Literature at New York University, and received his B.A. in Religion from Swarthmore College.

He has also taught at the College of Staten Island, St. Francis College, Hunter College. Hofstra University, York College (NY), Stevens Institute, Brookyn College and has been teaching philosophy at MCCC since 2011.
