The associate degree nursing program supports the mission of Mercer County Community College. Students will be challenged to achieve their goals in a caring, creative, and engaged learning environment. The program uses a concept-based curriculum to develop student’s clinical judgement to care for a diverse patient population across the lifespan, wherever nursing care is delivered. Students are prepared to master the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and assume roles as registered professional nurses within the healthcare community.

All applicants to the professional phase of the Nursing Education program must attend a Nursing Information Session. Students are encouraged to attend as early in their course of study as possible. Fall information sessions will begin later in the semester.

Essential Functions for Nursing Students

The application period to begin the professional phase of nursing coursework is currently closed. The next application period will open September 1 - October 1, 2023 for a seat in the spring 2024 evening/weekend program.
