Unit 4 - Using a Database to Find an Article

Things to consider when using database articles:

• Because of copyright and contractual reasons, most but not all of the articles available in the databases will be available to you in complete full-text.

• In most cases, even when the full-text is not available, databases will give you an abstract (summary) of the articles you locate.

• You may print, download, and/or email the database article you locate.

• Unlike general web searching, with databases you may limit your searches:
• To just full-text articles
• By date or date range
• To just scholarly (aka peer reviewed) sources
