Self-Study Steering Committee Charge

  1. Review and approve the Self-Study
  2. Develop, review, and approve the Self-Study
  3. Identify and select Team Members for each
  4. Create a document repository to be used for Evidence Inventory, meeting minutes, and reports
  5. Clearly define key terms across all Standards for
  6. Establish processes, guidelines, and templates to ensure that each of the Working Teams fully addresses the criteria of their assigned Standard and related institutional priorities using data or resources in the Evidence
  7. Meet with Middle States Vice President Liaison during initial campus
  8. Guide and coordinate the efforts of the Working Teams to ensure that they meet their deadlines and minimize duplication of efforts
  9. Address the criteria for each Standard and Requirements of
  10. Review the drafts written by the Working Teams, provide feedback to the Working Teams, and assemble the final documents into a cohesive and complete Self-Study.
  11. Develop and implement a communication plan that communicates updates on the Self- Study process, gathers input on the Self-Study from MCCC’s community, and ensures that MCCC’s community is engaged in the Self-Study
  12. Establish meaningful alignment between the Self-Study process and MCCC’s Strategic
  13. Validate that MCCC’s Verification of Compliance Report provides evidence that MCCC meets accreditation relevant federal regulations.
  14. Ensure that Self-Study Report, Evidence Inventory, and Verification of Compliance are completed and submitted on time.
  15. Meet with the site visit

Guidelines for Reporting

The Steering Committee led by the Steering Committee Co-chairs will ensure the reporting is completed and submitted. The first draft report for each of the seven Standards is due in early Fall 2021. Each committee will draft their report based on their Standard and criterion. These reports will be reviewed by all committees for discussion and analysis. The final draft will be completed by Summer 2022 with a Fall 2022 submission to Middle States.
