'Mercer Family and Friends' Art Show at Lawrence Library May 2 to 30

West Windsor, N.J. – Once again this year, a group of Fine Arts alumni from Mercer County Community College (MCCC) will present "Mercer Family and Friends" at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System. Featured artists include Clara Sue Beym, John A. Brecko, Jr., Connie Cruser, Giancarla Macaluso, Bill Plank, Helene Plank, Margaret Simpson and Margaret Woo.

The show opens Thursday, May 2 and continues through Thursday, May 30. A community reception takes place Sunday, May 5, 2 to 4 p.m.The library is located at 2751 Brunswick Pike (Route 1) in Lawrenceville at the corner of Route 1 and Darrah Lane.

According to Helene Plank, one of the show’s organizers, the common thread among the artists is their ties to MCCC, where all studied art earlier in their careers."We have very fond memories of Mercer, where we got our foundation and began to explore our creative potential," she said, adding that she and her husband, Bill, met at MCCC and graduated together in 1977.

Library hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
