Announces New Director of
Information and Technology Services

Susan G. Bowen
of Pennington has joined the administrative staff of Mercer County
Community College as executive director for Information and Technology
Services. With 23 years of experience as an administrator in the
education field, Bowen will put her extensive knowledge of information
technology systems to use in support of Mercer's educational mission
and goals.
Before coming
to MCCC, Bowen served as chief information officer at Camden County
College for five years, where she managed the technology staff and
oversaw the development and implementation of the college's information
technology strategic plan. Prior to her position at Camden, she
served as chief information officer for The Lawrenceville School
for six years. From 1991-1995, she was the director of Information
Technology Services at The College of New Jersey and also served
at TCNJ as assistant to the vice president of administration and
finance.

Bowen
has been a frequent presenter at professional conferences, including recent
sessions sponsored by the League of Innovation in the Community College
and NJEDge. She was featured in a cover story entitled "The Changing
Face of IT Executives" in University Business Magazine in June, 2005.
She currently serves as a program committee member for the 2008 Educause
Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference.
Bowen
earned her master's degree in Business from The College of New Jersey,
and has a B.S. in Elementary Education, also from The College of New Jersey.
