Sophomores Amit Aburmad and Ido Ligety
Receive Division I Soccer Scholarships

West Windsor, N.J. -- Two sophomores from the MCCC men's soccer team are moving on to Div. I colleges in fall 2010.

Midfielders Amit Aburmad (Tel Aviv, Israel) and Ido Ligety (Tevan, Israel) have accepted full scholarships to contine their academic and collegiate soccer careers. Aburmad will attend Boston College of the Atlantic Coast Conference, while Ido will play soccer for St. John's of the Big East Conference. Both will matriculate at their new schools in the fall of 2010.

Ligety was named a National Soccer Coaches Association of America second-team All American in 2009. Aburmad was a first-team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American in 2008 and led MCCC with 13 goals and eight assists in 2009. Both players were All-Region 19 first-team selections.

Legity and Aburmad are Dean's List students studying Business Administration.

Completing his 24th season as head coach for men's soccer, Charlie Inverso has sent over 150 soccer players on to four-year schools, including 86 as recipients of scholarships.
