Unit 5 - Wrap-up

 The MCCC Library had the resources you will need for you college research

Using the MCCC library:

- There are four libraries at MCCC

-West Windsor Campus - the college's main library

- James Kerney Campus

- Dempster Fire Training Center

- The virtual library - online resources available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

- Your student ID card is also your college library card

- Remember to have a current semester sticker put on your ID card (available at the security desk)

- Both the West Windsor and James Kerney libraries have textbooks for your use

Accessing the library's homepage & online resources

- To get to the MCCC Library's homepage:

- Start at the college's homepage (www.mccc.edu)

- Go to the middle box at the bottom of the page

- Click on the "Library" link in this box to go to the MCCC library's homepage

- The MerSearch search box is on the library's homepage.

- Links to the MCCC library's databases is also on the library's homepage.

- Using MerSearch or the library's databases off of the MCCC campus:

- You will need to login first

* Username is the same as for MyMercer (firstname.last name)

* Password is your last name

Libraries have shown they can help you succeed in college

A study at the University of Minnesota* found that first semester freshman who used the library had:

- A higher grade point average.

- Were more likely to return to school in the following semester.
