Mercer County Community College Hosts Mercer Tuesday

11/14/25

WEST WINDSOR – Mercer County Community College (MCCC) has launched its Annual Mercer Tuesday Fundraising Campaign to support the Mercer Fund, which provides life-changing, emergency financial assistance to students who are experiencing a financial obstacle, have exhausted all other options, and would otherwise be unable to continue their education at MCCC. The College’s largest one-day fundraiser will take place on Tuesday, November 18.

Many students face challenges balancing work, school, and family responsibilities, and the College believes it is crucial to help students pursue their dreams through a fundraising goal of $30,000.

Supporters of the College are proudly dedicating their time and resources to the Day of Giving Campaign through meaningful contributions. “I give because philanthropy is change, not charity,” said MCCC Foundation Board Member, Tyrell Smith. “MCCC was the foundation of my musical life as a freshman in college; the place where I found my voice, my confidence, and a community that believed in me long before I believed in myself,” said MCCC alumna and staff member, Elizabeth Rzasa. “All these years later, I’m grateful to have come full circle. Now I get to give back as an employee and advisor, helping our students find their own path just like so many people once did for me. It’s important to support the next generation of talent, dreamers, and leaders.”

MCCC Foundation Board Member, Tom Onder, gives because he believes “the College is a fantastic tool for students to achieve economic success in their lives,” and MCCC Vice President for Student Affairs, Carolyn White, is also a firm believer in giving back. “As Vice President for Student Affairs, I am deeply committed to supporting our students every step of the way – helping them navigate their educational journey, reach their degree goals, and prepare for successful careers. Our mission is to provide the resources, guidance, and opportunities necessary to ensure every student’s success. We are here to support students, not just as they pursue their degree, but as they work towards a fulfilling future. Together, we can make their journey memorable, meaningful, and achievable. Go Mustangs!”
