TRENTON – Former NFL player and two-time Super Bowl winner, Kareem McKenzie, will tackle a new role as keynote speaker at MCCC’s 58th Annual Commencement Ceremony on May 15. A New Jersey native, McKenzie played for 11 years as an offensive tackle for both the New York Jets and New York Giants while simultaneously interning with the NFL in a role that assisted managers in understanding players’ perspectives and offering insight.
After retiring from professional football, McKenzie received a graduate degree in professional counseling which prepared him for a second career providing services to individuals and groups as a member of a psychiatric treatment team, handling intake assessments, co-facilitating group therapy sessions, conducting individual therapy sessions, and advocating for patients. We look forward to welcoming Dr. McKenzie!
