WEST WINDSOR, N.J. - A comedic web of foul play, set against the backdrop of a "play within a play," comes to the stage of Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre when the Yardley Players present the farce “Drop Dead!” on MCCC’s West Windsor Campus, Nov. 7-16.
Meet a ragtag group of has-been actors as they attempt to revive their careers in this full-length comedic murder mystery. Almost immediately, hilarious antics ensue: The set falls apart, props break, and the producer and an actor meet an untimely demise. But in the spirit of the theatre—the show must go on!
But even as the curtain opens for the cast's debut performance, the murders continue and the play goes incredibly wrong. It's up to the remaining thespians to save the show, their careers, solve the mystery and stay alive for curtain calls.
The ensemble cast of “Drop Dead!” includes Philip Rieschick, Justin Mancini, Joey Poliziano, and Laurie Hardy of Hamilton, N.J.; James Haseltine of Belle Mead, N.J.; Keegan McDonald of Princeton, N.J.; John Ueng-McHale of Pennington, N.J.; Dara Lewis of Trenton, N.J.; Barry Leonard of Monroe Township, and Val Kluge of Marlboro, N.J.
Dates and showtimes for "Drop Dead!" are Friday, Nov. 7 and Nov. 14 at 8 p.m., with matinee performances Saturday, Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9 and Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. Performances are at the Kelsey Theatre on Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
