WEST WINDSOR, NJ -- A frog, a princess — and puppets! — bring the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale “The Frog Prince” to life for two performances only by Virginia Rep on Tour, Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Kelsey Theatre on Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC) West Windsor Campus.

When a spoiled but lonely princess drops her golden ball into a wishing well, a noble frog retrieves it in exchange for her promise of friendship. The princess breaks her promise and must face the music – and in the process, learning a valuable lesson about true friendship.

This colorful, humorous adaptation of the classic fairy tale was first recorded by the Brothers Grimm. Virginia Repertory Theatre’s beautiful production of “The Frog Prince” showcases an amphibian ensemble created by internationally acclaimed puppet master Terry Snyder.

Performances of “The Frog Prince” will be held at MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre, 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor, N.J., on Saturday, April 20, at 1 p.m and 4 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for seniors, children and students.
