DIRECT HEALTH CARE PROVIDER COURSE
This course is being offered through the Non-Credit Division of Mercer County Community College. This course will prepare participants in just 15 weeks for the state exam as a C.N.A.
The State approved curriculum allows students to take the 90 hour C.N.A. course and then the opportunity to take a 10 hour CHHA and/or 30 hour CMA course, if they so desire.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (preparation for C.N.A. certification)
- Certified Home Health Aid (10 hour course for C.N.A.'s or HHA's) to receive Certified Home Health Aide License from the NJ Board of Nursing
- Certified Medication Aid (currently pending approval from by the Department of Health and Senior Services)
Prerequisites are:
- High School Diploma
- Clear understanding of written and spoken English
- Proof of immunizations
- Background check and finger printing (finger printing occurs after enrollment)
- Proof of Personal Health Insurance
