May Graduate Ziomara Serrano Wins Design Award; Cash Prize

Serrano of Trenton is pictured with her logo design which won
a $2,500 prize from the NJ Governor's Council on Mental Health
Stigma. The competition included submissions from college students
throughout the state.
A May graduate of Mercer County Community College, Serrano was
honored at a May 23 awards luncheon with former first lady, MaryJo
Codey, where she received the cash prize as a runner-up in the
competition. She was accompanied by MCCC faculty member Tina LaPlaca
and Dean Judith Ehresman.
An Advertising Design major, Serrano lent her talent to redesign
the student newspaper and was active in the Graphic Design Club.
She is a graduate of Trenton High School.
