The Public is Invited to Soar Above Mercer County
at "Pennies Per Pound" Flight Fair March 29

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. -- The public is invited to see the region from a new perspective -- soaring above Mercer County -- at Mercer County Community College's Flight Fair on Saturday, March 29, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Trenton-Mercer Airport. The rain date is Sunday, March 30.

Members of the college's Aviation faculty will offer small-plane rides, taking off from the college's hangar at Trenton-Mercer Airport. The cost is 20 cents per pound (weights are kept secret), with a minimum charge of $8 and a maximum of $22 per person.

The 20-minute ride is a beautiful way to see the area, says Aviation Professor Jerry Kuhl. Proceeds will benefit the college's Flight Team, which took first place at the Region VII competition of the National Intercollegiate Flying Association last fall. Proceeds from this event will help the team finance future trips to compete in these events.

The Trenton-Mercer Airport is located in Ewing Township. Visitors should take I-95 to Exit 2 (Scotch Road), then follow the signs to the airport. The college's hangar is down the road to the right of Ronson Aviation. Food and beverages will be available. Call 609-530-1272 for more information.

Mecer County Community College offers an associate degree program in Flight Technology that attracts students from throughout the state and region. The college owns a fleet of airplanes housed at the Trenton-Mercer Airport.
