West engaged all with his talk “Hope on a Tight Rope.” The noted scholar, civil rights activist and author shared his vision for social justice and equity and greeted many with hugs and words of encouragement. “I view teaching as a noble profession; I am especially inspired by young people. They keep me young,” said West. “We’re all in this quest for knowledge together.”
