"Explore Mercer" Open House April 14

WEST WINDSOR, N.J.  --  Now is the time to think about college for fall 2010. Students of all ages, including high school students and parents, are invited to Explore Mercer at an Open House on Wednesday, April 14, 6 p.m. at Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor campus, Student Center Cafeteria.  The event is also appropriate for adults of all ages seeking career enhancement courses and programs in either credit or noncredit areas.

Participants will learn from current students and college faculty members about Mercer’s 68 associate degree programs – from the health professions to computer technology, education, horticulture, engineering, aviation and the arts.

Counselors will be on hand to discuss how students can begin at Mercer and transfer for a bachelor’s degree, thus saving thousands of dollars, or even stay at Mercer and earn bachelor’s degrees from three colleges offering programs at the West Windsor Campus – William Paterson University, Fairleigh Dickinson University and Felician College.

Professional staff from The VIrtual College will answer questions and provide information about Mercer's abundant online courses.

Professional staff will provide information on how to apply for financial aid, and students will learn if they qualify for free tuition through NJSTARS, a state program for New Jersey high school graduates.

The Explore Mercer Open House will include program videos, hands-on demonstrations and refreshments.  For more information about MCCC’s programs and services visit www.mccc.edu, or call Enrollment Services at 609-570-3795.
