Take Off With MCCC Flight Instructors
to Benefit Flight Team
West Windsor, NJ – Mercer County Community College’s aviation faculty and flight instructors will take to the skies for a good cause at Community Flight Fairs on Saturday, April 10 and Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., departing from the Trenton-Mercer Airport. Rain dates are Sundays, April 11 and May 2.
The cost is 25 cents per pound (weights are kept confidential) of a rider’s weight, with a minimum charge of $10 and a maximum of $25 per person. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The 20-minute ride will give members of the community a beautiful panoramic view of the area.
Proceeds will benefit MCCC’s Flight Team, which competes in the National SAFECON competition in Terre Haute, IN this May.
The planes take off from the college’s hangar at Trenton-Mercer Airport located in Ewing Township. Vistors should take 1-95 to Exit 2 (Scotch Road), then follow the signs to the airport. MCCC’s hangar is down the road to the right of Ronson Aviation. For more information, call (609) 530-1272.
Mercer County Community College offers an associate degree program in Aviation Flight Technology that attracts students from throughout the state and region. The college owns a fleet of airplanes housed at the Trenton-Mercer Airport.
