Honor Society at MCCC

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. -- Seventy-two Mercer County Community College students were inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society at a ceremony at Kelsey Theatre on Oct. 25. Only students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are invited to enter the society. Pictured at left are PTK Chapter President Lynn Rowlands, officers Natosha McVeigh, Jessica Merrick and Juan Chavez, club advisor and staff member, Helene Plank, faculty member Karen Bearce, and Transfer Counselor Jennifer Nuechterlein.

Phi Theta Kappa's purpose is to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students, providing an outlet for leadership development, fellowship, community service and continuing academic excellence. The group also offers scholarship opportunities for members. Mercer's chapter sponsors several community service projects each year.
