72 Inducted Into Phi Theta Kappa Honor

WEST WINDSOR,
N.J. -- Seventy-two Mercer County Community College students were
inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society at a ceremony
at Kelsey Theatre on Oct. 25. Only students with a GPA of 3.5
or higher are invited to enter the society. Pictured at left are
PTK Chapter President Lynn Rowlands, officers Natosha McVeigh,
Jessica Merrick and Juan Chavez, club advisor and staff member,
Helene Plank, faculty member Karen Bearce, and Transfer Counselor
Jennifer Nuechterlein.
Phi Theta
Kappa's purpose is to recognize and encourage scholarship among
two-year college students, providing an outlet for leadership
development, fellowship, community service and continuing academic
excellence. The group also offers scholarship opportunities for
members. Mercer's chapter sponsors several community service projects
each year.
