Opportunities Abound in Fall Credit Programs
at Mercer County Community College

Credit classes for the fall semester begin Aug. 29 at Mercer County Community College. Students can choose from course sessions of 15, 10, seven and five weeks, and the college also offers lunchtime courses in downtown Trenton.

One new opportunity is a just-approved associate degree program in Exercise Science, which will enable students to transfer to four-year schools in majors such as kinesiology, personal training and biomechanics. Beginning its second year is the Entertainment Technology associate degree program, preparing students for a variety of careers in theatrical and film technology, lighting, sound and broadcasting.

Mercer holds dual admissions agreements with Rutgers, Rider, The College of New Jersey, Montclair and NJIT, and its credits transfer to other colleges nationwide. Fairleigh Dickinson University offers courses on the MCCC campus for bachelor’s degree candidates in business and hospitality management.

In all, Mercer offers 67 associate degree programs, including health careers such as nursing and medical lab technology, business, engineering, information technology, the liberal arts and sciences, radio and television, the visual and performing arts, and architecture. Programs unique to the region include aviation, horticulture and funeral service.

Mercer’s classes meet days, evenings and weekends on both the West Windsor and James Kerney campuses. Distance learning is offered through The Virtual Campus via the Internet and cable TV.
