New Course in "Digital Fine Art" Begins Aug. 29, 2005

Mercer County Community College will offer a new credit course, "Digital Fine Art" (CGR 275), for the first time this fall. The course combines digital and traditional art tools. It will meet Wednesdays from 1:25 p.m. to 5:35 p.m. beginning August 29, 2005. Students will create a series of pieces for exhibition, explore personal aesthetic expression and build a strong portfolio.

Two prerequisite courses are “Computer Art 2D” (CGR105), which teaches Photoshop and Illustrator programs, and “Basic Drawing” (Art 102). Students with some background in these disciplines may receive divisional permission.
