IT Essentials from CISCO Academy 

Requirements: The curriculum is designed for upper secondary schools, technical schools, and colleges or universities. Cisco Packet Tracer activities are designed for use with Packet Tracer 7.2.1 or later. Before you take this course, you should have a basic understanding of computers. You should be familiar with how to: use a mouse and keyboard, install and run programs, use basic productivity software, including word processing applications and save files created by common applications 

This 70-hour IT Essentials (ITE) course is an instructor-led course. It includes activities using Packet Tracer, hands-on lab work, and a wide array of assessment types and tools. This course introduces students to the fundamentals of computer hardware and software, mobile devices, security and networking concepts, and the responsibilities of an IT professional. The latest release includes mobile devices, Linux, and client-side virtualization, as well as expanded information about Microsoft Windows operating systems, security, networking, and troubleshooting. ITE 7.0 curriculum prepares students for the CompTIA A+ certification exams 220-1001 and 220-1002. 

Students will be able to:  

  • Describe the internal components of a computer and assemble a computer system.
  • Install and understand operating systems on computers and mobile devices.
  • Connect to the Internet and share resources in a networked environment.
  • Troubleshoot using system tools and diagnostic software.

Cybersecurity Essentials

Prerequisite: Introduction to Cyber Security

The Cybersecurity Essentials course develops foundational understanding of cybersecurity and how it relates to information and network security. The 30-hour course introduces students to characteristics of cybercrime, security principles, technologies, and procedures to defend networks. Through interactive, multimedia content, lab activities, and multi-industry case studies, students build technical and professional skills to pursue careers in cybersecurity. Learn procedures to implement data confidentiality, integrity, availability and security controls on networks, servers and applications. Understand security principles and how to develop security policies that comply with cybersecurity laws. Apply skills through practice, using labs and Cisco Packet Tracer activities. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) FOR PROFESSIONALS

This course is designed for both non-technical and technical professionals who want to make sense of the ever-evolving field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In this course, you will explore the different ways AI can be used and learn a ready-to-implement AI roadmap that can be used at your respective organization. In this course, you will become familiar with basic AI terminologies such as data, models, Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), regression, classification, and clustering; steps involved in building an end-to-end Machine Learning (ML) model; identifying the impact and application of AI in different fields including Customer Service, Finance, Retail, Healthcare, and Manufacturing; the end to end process of building ML models; causes of AI failures and challenges of implementing AI; and streamlining the implementation of AI.

AI2GO WORKSHOP

The workshop is specially designed for non-technical professionals to begin a career in Artificial Intelligence (AI). This workshop aims to provide a good understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence by training machine learning models for various applications. You will get a basic understanding of the Python programming language, just enough to start building machine learning models. Additionally, you will learn about the impacts that AI can have on society.
