The Database Concepts and Skills Associate micro-credential provides beginners friendly introductory-level courses in database administration, whether students are just finding their footing, prepping for their industry desired certifications, or looking to go deep into specialty topics like serverless and machine learning.

The courses provide hands-on learning with the technology to reinforce concepts with real-world experience.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES
  • Explain basic concepts of databases;
  • Code using Oracle Structured Query (SQL) Language;
  • Deploy databases on cloud platform.

Successful completion of credits from this Certificate of Achievement can be applied toward the Database Administration certificate and Computer Information Systems degree programs.

Admission to the program requires readiness for college-level English and Math and approval from the program coordinator. Students may receive credit for previous training in a skills area by applying for credit by examination, credit by experience, and/or transfer credit as evaluated and approved by the program coordinator.
