The Dance micro-credential is designed for those seeking to expand their skills in performance for personal growth and employment advancement.

Combining intensive classroom study and performance, the program is dedicated to developing a dancer who can cope with the demands of the concert stage and work with a range of styles – from ballet to modern to jazz.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES
  • Master the physical discipline and time investment necessary to carry out professional concerts;
  • Choreograph independently to create own dances;
  • Work collaboratively with artistic and production staff;
  • Create successful auditions by preparing materials and exhibiting professional conduct.

Successful completion of credits from this Certificate of Achievement can be applied toward the Dance degree programs.

Admission to the program requires readiness for college-level English and Math and approval from the program coordinator. Students may receive credit for previous training in a skills area by applying for credit by examination, credit by experience, and/or transfer credit as evaluated and approved by the program coordinator.
