Women's Tennis Moves to 3-0 on Season Following 6-3 Win at Ocean

Toms River, NJ-Mercer women’s tennis moved to 3-0 on the season following a 6-3 win at Ocean (0-1).  The Vikings had four wins in Singles flights with freshman Leticia Kitio (Lawrence, NJ/Lawrence HS) winning 6-0, 6-0 at 1^st Singles, sophomore Valeria Vargas (Valencia, Venezuela/Instituto Santa Cruz) winning 6-0, 6-1 at 2^nd Singles, freshman Andrea Vasquez (San Felipe, Venezuela/Hightstown HS) winning 6-2, 6-3 at 3^rd Singles and freshman Makenna Swasey (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) winning 6-1, 6-2 at 4^th Singles.

 

Mercer also had two wins in Doubles flights.  Kitio and Vargas won 8-0 at 1^st Singles and Swasey and Vasquez won 8-1 at 2^nd Doubles.

 

The Vikings next travel to Brookdale (0-0) for a 3:30 PM match on Thursday, March 28^th.
