Toms River, NJ-Mercer softball (21-5) beat Ocean CC (0-8) 16-0 in Game 2 of their doubleheader. Freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) had a home run and 4 RBIs and freshman Ada Kaschl (Brussels, Belgium/European School of Brussels III) went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Freshman Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) went 2 for 2 with an RBI and struck out two in two innings of relief.
Sophomore pitcher Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville HS) got her ninth win of the season, striking out three in three innings. Sophomore Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) and freshman Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Twp.) each had an RBI and freshman Makenna Spak (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) went 2 for 2 with a run in the win.
The Vikings next host County College of Morris (5-3) in a 3:00 PM doubleheader on Thursday, April 11th.
