Scranton, PA-Mercer softball (19-5) beat Lackawanna (21-10) 8-0 in Game 2 of their doubleheader. Sophomore pitcher Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville HS) threw a perfect game. Krebs struck out eight in six innings in her eighth win of the season.
Sophomore Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) went 3 for 4 with a home run, double and 4 RBIs and sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) added 2 RBIs in the win. Freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) went 3 for 4 with two runs and freshman Jessica Adams (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Sophomore Maya Patel (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) added an RBI in the win.
The Vikings next travel to Ocean CC (0-4) for a 3:30 PM doubleheader on Tuesday, April 9th.
