West Windsor, NJ-Mercer softball (16-5) beat Monroe College (9-19) 11-3 in six innings in Game 1 of their doubleheader. Freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs and sophomore Maya Patel (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) also had 3 RBIs in the win. Sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) had a home run and 2 RBIs and freshman Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Twp.) was 2 for 3 with 3 runs.
Freshman pitcher Izzy Bonacci (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) struck out seven in six innings in her sixth win. Sophomore Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) and freshman Ada Kaschl (Brussels, Belgium/European School of Brussels III) each added an RBI in the win.
