Schnecksville, PA-Mercer softball (28-5) shut out Lehigh Carbon (2-11) 16-0 in Game 1 of their doubleheader. Freshman Izzy Bonacci (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs, 3 runs and a triple and freshman Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Twp.) was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, 3 runs and a triple. Sophomore Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs, 2 triples and 2 runs and sophomore Maya Patel (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, 2 runs and a double.
Freshman Natalie Santiago (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) had 2 RBIs and freshman Emily Wyzykowski (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) went 2 for 4. Sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) and freshman Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) each added an RBI in the win. Sophomore pitcher Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsvills HS) struck out four in five innings and allowed no earned runs in her twelfth win of the season.
