West Windsor, NJ-Mercer softball (14-5) split their doubleheader vs Del Tech (10-5), losing Game 1, 8-10. Sophomore Maya Patel (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) went 2 for 2 with an RBI and sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) was 3 for 4 with an RBI. Freshman Ada Kaschl (Brussels, Belgium/European School of Brussels III) and Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Twp.) each added an RBI and freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) went 2 for 4 with 2 runs in the loss.
Freshmen pitcher Izzy Bonacci (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) had five strikeouts in five innings and freshman Jessica Adams (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) struck out four in three innings of relief in the losing effort.
