West Windsor, NJ-Mercer softball moved to 14-4 following a 17-0 win vs Brookdale CC (1-4) in five innings in Game 2 of their doubleheader. Sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) had a big day at the plate going 2 for 4 with a home run and 6 RBIs. Freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) went 3 for 4 with two doubles and 2 RBIs and freshman Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township) was 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs.
Sophomore Maya Patel (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Townwhip) had a double and 3 RBIs and sophomore Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) added 2 RBIs and 3 runs in the win. Freshman pitcher Jessica Adams (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) had three strikeouts in three innings in her fourth win of the season. Sophomore pitcher Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville HS) threw two hitless and scoreless innings of relief.
The Vikings will next face Del Tech (9-5) in a 12:00 PM doubleheader, tomorrow, Saturday, March 29th.
