Georgetown, DE-Mercer (17-1) bounced back in Game 2 of their doubleheader and beat Del Tech (9-7) 9-3. Freshman Bella Cornish-Didonato (Titusville, NJ/Hopewell Valley) went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and freshman Ashlee Haywood (Ewing, NJ/Council Rock North) had a double and 2 RBIs. Sophomore Arianna Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) went 3 for 4 with 2 runs and sophomores Stella Logan (Trenton, NJ/Allentown HS) and Jozalyn Sheipe-Warthen (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) each added an RBI in the win. Haywood moved to 9-0 on the season giving up just one walk and two earned runs in seven innings pitched.
Mercer travels to Cecil College (13-7) for a 12:00 PM doubleheader on Sunday, March 29th.
