Myrtle Beach, SC-Mercer softball (6-3) beat Alpena CC (1-6) 7-1. Freshman pitcher Jessica Adams (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) had 11 strikeouts in seven innings in the win. Sophomore Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and freshman Ada Kaschl (Brussels, Belgium/European School of Brussels III) was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) had 2 RBIs.
Freshmen Makenna Spak (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert), Emily Wyzykowski (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley), Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township) and Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) each had two hits in the win.
