Myrtle Beach, SC-Mercer softball (3-1) won their second game of the day, 14-7 vs Moraine Valley (0-7). Freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) had a huge day at the plate, going 5 for 6 with two doubles and 5 RBIs. Freshman Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) went 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs and sophomore Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) had a double, triple and 2 RBIs.
Sophomore pitcher Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville HS) struck out seven in 6.1 innings in the win and also had an RBI. Freshmen Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Twp), Makenna Spak (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) and Emily Wyzykowski (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) each added an RBI in the win. Freshman pitcher Jessica Adams (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) struck out two in 0.2 innings of relief.
The Vikings will face Moraine Valley again tomorrow, Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 AM.
