Mercer moved to 2-0 on the 2024 season following a 5-0 Game 2 win over RCSJ Gloucester (0-2). Freshman Izzy Bonacci (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) struck out nine in seven innings in her first collegiate win. Freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) went 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs and freshman Emily Wyzykowski (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) was 2 for 3 with two doubles. Sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) added two hits and an RBI in the win.
The Vikings will travel to Myrtle Beach for five games, opening with Danville Area CC (1-3) on Friday, March 15th.
