Lawrenceville, NJ-Mercer softball opened the 2024 season with a 7-2 win Game 1 of their doubleheader vs RCSJ Gloucester (0-1), in games played at Rider University. Sophomore pitcher Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville HS) struck out six in seven innings to earn her first win of the season.
Freshman Makenna Spak (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert)went 2 for 3 with a triple and RBI and freshman Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) had a triple and RBI in the win. Sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) had a double and RBI and freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) added an RBI in the Game 1 win.
