Stanton, DE-Mercer women’s basketball moved to 7-2 on the season following a 98-51 win at Del Tech (2-8). Freshman Evangelina Francisco (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township) led MCCC with 24 points, seven assists and seven steals and sophomore Xana Garcia Galan (Barcelona, Spain/Jesuites Sarnia Sant Ignasi) had 23 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Mayah Alford (Levittown, PA/Trenton Catholic Academy) had a double double with 13 points and 15 rebounds along with five assists, five steals and two blocks.
Sophomore Zaakirah Edwards (Philadelphia, PA/Mastery Charter) added 13 points, four assists and three steals. Freshman Qui-Mia Wilkins (Pemberton, NJ/Thrive Charter) had eleven points and eight steals and sophomore Patricia Monroe (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) added eight points and eight rebounds.
Mercer next travels to RCSJ (6-0) for a 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 6th.
