West Windsor, NJ-Mercer men’s soccer moved to 3-2-1 following an 8-0 win vs Sussex. The Mustangs scored four goals in each half. Sophomore Jesse Van Den Berg (Rhoon, Netherlands/Portus Groene Hart) scored two goals and freshman Alehandro Sina (Belluno, Italy/V. Follzolo De Rossi) added a goal and an assist in the win.
Sophomores Luca Pisani (Gallarte, Italy/Gadda Rosselli), Emilio Murguruza (Madrid, Spain/GSD Las Rozas) and Bonheur Kitongo (Erie, PA/Erie HS) and freshmen Alberto Martin (Madrid, Spain/Carmen Conde) and Akinari Eto (Nagasaki, Japan/Chinzei Gakun) each scored a goal in the dominant win.
Freshmen Yuki Kanna (Chofu, Japan/Kaishi Gaukeun) had two assists and freshmen Stephen Annan (Bolzano, Italy/Claudia De Medici) and Rodrigo Feitas (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Colegio Estadual Senador Courival Baptista) each had an assist in the win.
Mercer next faces Region rival Essex in a big match on Saturday, September 12th at 1:00 PM.
