Suffern, NY-Mercer men’s basketball (12-10) held off Rockland CC (10-15) for a 79-75 win. Sophomore Justin Carbone (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick) led the Vikings with 23 points including five three pointers. Sophomore Izaiah Johnson (Burlington, NJ/Burlington City) had 17 points and 7 assists and freshman Jayson Love (Philadelphia, PA/Academy at Palumbo) added 15 points and 4 rebounds in the win.
Sophomore Isham McClain (Pemberton, NJ/Pemberton HS) had 8 points and 4 rebounds and sophomore Jason Mark (Broward, FL/Blanche Ely HS) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Freshman Joe Lemly (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) had 7 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in the win.
The Vikings next travel to Middlesex CC (19-6) for a 7:00 PM game on Tuesday, February 13th.
