Randolph, NJ-Mercer baseball (20-11) lost Game 2 of their doubleheader at CC of Morris (15-8) 7-9. Sophomore Torin McKenzie (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) had a home run and 3 RBIs and freshman Shane Hickey (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) had 2 RBIs in the loss. Sophomore Ryan Ulisse (Columbus, NJ/Holy Cross) had a home run and RBI and freshman Jake Pope (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Sophomores Bannon Brazell (Vienna, VA/James Madison HS) and Joe Gmitter (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) each had two hits and sophomore pitcher Colin Bernhard (Florence, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) struck out four in four innings in the loss.
The Vikings next travel to Suffolk CCC (14-9) for a 12:00 PM doubleheader on Sunday, April 7th.
