West Windsor, NJ-Mercer baseball lost to Lackawanna 4-2 in the first game of their three games series. The Mustangs managed just three hits in the loss, one a double from sophomore Geno Bianco (North Wales, PA/Lansdale Catholic). Sophomores Quaran Williams (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) and John Stewart (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) each had an RBI in the loss. Freshman pitcher John Koch (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick) struck out six in 4 2/3 innings in the losing effort.
Mercer (17-7) will face Lackawanna (9-16-1) in a doubleheader tomorrow, April 4th at 2:00 PM at Scranton High School.
