Mercer Opens Series with Raritan Valley with 23-10 Win

Branchburg, NJ-Mercer baseball opened their series vs Raritan Valley with a 23-10 win at Raritan.  Sophomore Shaniel Maldonado (Trenton, NJ/St. Benedict’s) was 3 for 3 with a double, home run and 7 RBIs and sophomore Geno Bianco (North Wales, PA/Lansdale Catholic) went 2 for 5 with a double and 4 RBIs.  Sophomore Anthony Crudo (Point Pleasant Boro, NJ/St. Rose) was 4 for 6 with a double, home run and 3 RBIs.

 

Sophomore Jordan Raba (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) went 4 for 6 with two doubles and an RBI and sophomore Mike Amrhein (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs.  Sophomore Kevin Stewart (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) went 3 for 5 with a home run and 3 RBIs and sophomore Quaran Williams (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) was 2 for 4 with an RBI.

 

Freshman Joe Andreas (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) went 1 for 1 with a home run and RBI and sophomore Slade Harrill (New Egypt, NJ/Allentown HS) was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 runs.

 

Freshman pitcher John Koch (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick) had eight strikeouts in five innings and got his third win of the season.

 

Mercer hosts Raritan Valley in a 12:00 PM doubleheader tomorrow, Saturday, April 11th.
