Georgetown, DE-Mercer baseball moved to 15-5 following an 11-1 win at Del Tech (8-8) in the first game of this Region series. Sophomore Shaniel Maldonado (Trenton, NJ/St. Benedict’s) had a home run and 3 RBIs and sophomore Slade Harrill (New Egypt, NJ/Allentown) went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Sophomore Jordan Raba (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) was 3 for 6 with an RBI and sophomore Kevin Stewart (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) went 2 for 4 with 3 runs and an RBI.
Sophomore Quaran Williams (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) was 2 for 3 with a double, home run and RBI and sophomore Geno Bianco (North Wales, PA/Lansdale Catholic) went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI. Sophomore Anthony Crudo (Point Plesant Boro, NJ/St. Rose) was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and sophomore Lukas Mullen (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) added an RBI in the win.
Freshman pitcher John Koch (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick) struck out eight in six innings and allowed just one run in his second win of the season.
Mercer next hosts Del Tech in a doubleheader at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 28th.
