Mercer Women's Soccer 2023 Schedule Announced

Mercer women’s soccer will play 15 games including eight home games.  The Vikings went 15-1 last season and finished ranked 18 th in NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division II Women’s Soccer. The Vikings open their season at home on August 26 th vs Suffolk CCC. 

Mercer will host two of its Division II Region 19 opponents: Lackawanna on September 30 th and Sussex on October 4 th.  Sussex defeated Mercer in the Region 19 Championship last season 1-4 to end the Vikings season.  The Vikings first Region game will be on the road at Essex on September 9 th

Other home games for the Vikings include Harcum on August 29 th, Felician University JV on September 28 th, and Monroe CC on October 11 th.  Monroe reached the Division I National Championship last season and finished ranked 6 th nationally in Division I.

Mercer will be playing RCSJ-Gloucester twice, home on September 6 th and away on September 23 rd.  RCSJ-Gloucester reached the NJCAA Division III National Tournament last season and finished ranked 8 th in Division III.  Mercer will travel to Ocean on September 21 st.  Ocean also reached the Division III National Tournament last season and finished ranked 9 th in Division III women’s soccer.

The Vikings will face a tough road game when they travel to CCBC-Essex on October 14 th.  CCBC-Essex finished the 2022 season ranked 11 th in Division I NJCAA women’s soccer.  The Vikings will travel to Maryland over Labor Day weekend for two games, taking on Harford on September 2 nd and Montgomery-Rockville on September 3 rd.  Both games will be played at Montgomery-Rockville.

The Vikings final regular season game will be on October 17 th at home vs Union County College. 

Mercer will be led by first year Head Coach Ron Stinson, who takes over for Elyse Diamond, who retired after nine years as head coach of the Vikings.
