2024 Men's Tennis Season Preview

 

 

Mercer men’s tennis will open the 2024 season on March 22nd with the goals of improving upon the success of the 2023 season.  The Vikings will return just one player from the 2023 roster, but with a strong class of experienced newcomers, Head Men’s Tennis Coach Andy Stoll expects the Vikings to compete in Region 19 and look to qualify for the NJCAA Division III National Championship in May.

 

Sophomore Jack Wolfarth (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) returns to lead the Vikings along with freshmen Joseph Wong (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence HS), Rasheam Johnson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) and Jefferson Suchite (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central).

 

The Vikings men’s tennis schedule features ten matches.  Mercer will host the Region 19 Championship at Mercer County Park April 26th, with the chance to qualify for the NJCAA Division III National Championship in May in Georgia.  The Vikings will compete with Brookdale, Ocean, RCSJ Gloucester and Williamson Trade for the opportunity to compete at Nationals.

 

Stoll will be assisted by Qasim Kham, Barb Pleva and Marc Vecchiolla.
